Founded in 1984, foundation has given 2,683 students a cumulative 3.327 billion won
The Hyechun Scholarship Foundation, established by the late Jeong Jae-won, honorary chairman and founder of food company Jeong Sik Poom, held its 42nd annual scholarship ceremony Friday at the company's Seoul office in Jung-gu.
The ceremony awarded a combined 168 million won to 42 high-achieving undergraduate and graduate students. Founded in 1984, the foundation has distributed roughly 3.327 billion won ($2,160,000) in scholarships to 2,683 recipients over 42 years.
