Man in his 30s arrested for sexually assaulting boy at Bucheon sauna

A man in his 30s has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a young boy at a sauna in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province.

The Bucheon Wonmi Police Station said Monday it arrested the man, identified only by the surname initial A, on charges of forcibly molesting a child under the age of 13.

A is accused of groping a boy at a sauna in Wonmi-gu, Bucheon, at around 6 p.m. on June 6.

Officers responding to a report of the incident apprehended A at the scene. Investigators determined he was not intoxicated or otherwise impaired at the time.

"Given that the victim is under 13, the case has been transferred to the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency in accordance with internal guidelines," a police official said.
