Long-term cooperation planned in physical AI, AI infrastructure and mobility

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo met Monday for the second time in three days — their first encounter was an informal gathering in the Hongdae neighborhood — to discuss long-term cooperation in physical AI, AI infrastructure and mobility.
Huang arrived at LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, around 10 a.m. Monday, accompanied by his eldest daughter Madison Huang, senior director of Omniverse and robotics product marketing, her fiancé, and Nvidia Korea President Jeong So-young. After the roughly hour-long meeting, Huang told reporters the session had been a success. "Our partnership with LG continues to grow and is developing into a remarkable level of collaboration," he said. "We are working together across many different areas."
Huang praised LG's breadth and depth. "As you know, LG is one of the world's finest companies," he said. "LG operates across a very diverse range of industries and holds numerous core technologies that will play an important role in the future."
He singled out robotics in particular. "Robotics is a field where electronics, mechanical systems and AI converge," Huang said. "We are collaborating with LG on AI, on motor technology and on mechanical systems — and through that work we are also designing the data centers of the future together with LG."
Building the next generation of megawatt-scale data centers, he added, demands highly advanced capabilities across cooling technology, power supply and the full design and construction of data center facilities. "LG has truly outstanding capabilities in all of these areas," Huang said. "We are working together right now to help companies build data centers today."
"From robotic systems to today's and tomorrow's HVAC systems — across every domain Nvidia operates in, we are united as one. We are one giant team," he said. "This partnership is fantastic and growing at an incredible speed. There are many announcements in the pipeline that we look forward to sharing with you in the near future."
Koo said the two sides had covered a great deal of ground. "Today we had many conversations with Nvidia about the direction of the future, and it seems we will need even more collaboration to accelerate the AI era," he said. He noted that time ran short before they could get into specifics, and said he had invited Huang to California for a follow-up. "I am deeply grateful for all the cooperation," Koo added.
Huang also weighed in on AI investment sentiment. "Korea's current AI infrastructure is still very small in scale, which means the future of this industry needs to grow much larger," he said. He suggested that if AI-related shares were trading at a discount Monday, "now is a good time to buy." Pushing back on bubble concerns, he said: "I don't agree with that view. I think this is the beginning of a new industry, and any volatility is a good opportunity. Imagine where AI will be 10 years from now. When you invest, don't think about next week — think about 10 years from now."
Nvidia's Isaac, GR00T and Cosmos AI platforms to combine with LG's home appliance, robotics, mobility and AI infrastructure capabilities
The two companies plan to build a next-generation physical AI ecosystem by combining Nvidia's AI platforms with LG's strengths in home appliances, robotics, mobility and AI infrastructure — covering everything from AI model development and robot training and operation to digital twin construction. AI factories, physical AI and mobility have been identified as core "One LG" areas where LG affiliates will pool their capabilities.
LG Electronics will expand cooperation on humanoid robot and logistics robot development using Nvidia's Isaac, GR00T and Cosmos platforms, while LG Innotek will develop sensing modules and optical components optimized for Nvidia AI chips. LG CNS will also work to advance its industrial robot platform by integrating Nvidia robotics technology.
In manufacturing, the two sides will pursue an autonomous manufacturing ecosystem by combining LG's production technology data with Nvidia's AI and digital twin technology. On AI infrastructure, LG Electronics will expand cooperation on data center cooling solutions and modular design, while LG Uplus and LG CNS are reviewing plans to build AI factories based on Nvidia's DSX reference design. LG Energy Solution is also in discussions on data center power solution cooperation.
In mobility, LG Electronics will use Nvidia's autonomous driving platform Drive Hyperion to advance next-generation ADAS and in-vehicle AI systems, and LG Innotek will expand cooperation on automotive components including communications and sensing. LG AI Research will use Nvidia's Blackwell GPUs and the NeMo framework to enhance the performance of its EXAONE AI model, while Nvidia will support LG's broader AI transformation.
"Korea has outstanding competitiveness in manufacturing, mechatronics and AI, and the combination of these strengths will make robotics and physical AI a core growth industry for Korea," Huang said. "Through Nvidia's DSX and physical AI platforms, LG can extend its leadership beyond homes and vehicles into factories and AI infrastructure, and create new growth opportunities in intelligent systems that will transform everyday life and industry."
Koo said the discussions had been energizing. "I had a truly exciting conversation with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang about strategic cooperation that will reshape future industries," he said. "The blueprint of the AI ecosystem that Nvidia envisions aligns with LG's vision of creating meaningful change in customers' daily lives and on the global industrial stage." He added that Monday's meeting would serve as a springboard for the two companies to combine their distinctive capabilities and further solidify a "partnership for the future."
