The Andong-type Job Creation Project Group at Gyeonguk National University held an opening ceremony and first session of its 2026 Digital Marketing Introduction and Certification course on June 2.

About 25 people attended the ceremony, including Song Jun-hyeop, head of the Andong-type Job Creation Project Group, course instructors and enrolled students.

The program targets tourism business operators in Andong, prospective entrepreneurs and university or graduate students seeking employment in online marketing. The course runs for eight sessions of three hours each through the end of July.

Fifteen students are enrolled this semester. The curriculum covers the fundamentals and latest trends in online marketing, an introduction to major platforms, basic AI applications, content planning and production, and preparation for a professional marketing certification.

"I hope this course goes beyond earning a marketing certification with AI and becomes training that participants can apply across their day-to-day work," Song said. "We will consistently expand our practice-oriented digital education so that students can adapt to a rapidly changing environment."
