Yeungnam University of Science and Technology signs AI cooperation MOU with Tilon

Yeungnam University of Science and Technology signed a cooperation MOU with Tilon Co. on Sunday at the university's Cheonma History Museum in Daegu, aimed at training practice-oriented talent and building an industry-academia partnership framework for the AI transformation era.

The signing ceremony was attended by university President Lee Jae-yong, Academic Vice President Kwon Ki-hong, Planning Director Lee Jong-rak and College of AI Convergence Dean Oh Hyung-jun, along with Tilon CEO Choi Baek-jun, Vice President Cha Jin-wook and Managing Director Lee Chun-sung.

Under the agreement, the two institutions will pursue cooperation across several areas: joint research and technology collaboration in AI virtualization; development and operation of practice-oriented curricula based on cloud, VDI and AI infrastructure; talent recruitment linkages; and exchange of the latest industry information on AI infrastructure and virtualization technology.

The two institutions will also accelerate the development of AI specialists with real-world adaptability by providing technical advisory services and infrastructure support needed to build environments for AI model training and inference, while upgrading the overall educational environment.

"Through this agreement, we will actively support our students in gaining hands-on experience with the latest AI infrastructure and technology so they can grow into professionals with practical capabilities," President Lee said.
