Daegu Hanny University selected for small business digital program 5 years running

Daegu Hanny University has been selected for the fifth consecutive year (2022–2026) for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Small Business Digital Specialization University program, the university announced Tuesday.

The university attributed the selection to practical results accumulated over the past four years and its highly regarded field-centered education capabilities.

The university has earned recognition for expanding online sales channels and strengthening the digital competitiveness of small business owners — receiving the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award in 2023 and the top prize from the Korea Research Foundation chairperson in 2025. It has also been named an outstanding university three consecutive years, from 2023 through 2025, demonstrating consistent program management and results.

The university's DHU Small Business Digital Transformation Support Center will further upgrade its programs this year, centering on AI-based, hands-on education.

The curriculum covers AI-driven low-cost, high-efficiency marketing, live commerce operations, strategies for entering domestic and international online platforms, and training for overseas market expansion.

Enrollment for 2026 opens this month. Small business owners in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province area who wish to participate may apply or request consultation through the university's website or the DHU Small Business Digital Transformation Support Center.

"We will continue to strengthen our role as an industry-academic cooperation hub by linking the Glocal University project and the North Gyeongsang Province RISE project to boost the competitiveness of local small businesses and drive regional economic vitality," President Byeon Chang-hun said.
