Card offers up to 25,000 won ($18) in monthly discounts, with a 15,000 won annual fee
Samsung Card announced Friday it has partnered with Lotte Home Shopping to launch the "Lotte Home Shopping Samsung Card."
The card targets frequent Lotte Home Shopping customers, combining shopping discounts with savings on everyday spending categories including supermarkets, gas stations, medical services and coffee shops.
Cardholders receive a 7 percent discount on purchases made through the Lotte Home Shopping website, app and automated phone payment system, with monthly savings capped at 25,000 won ($18).
The card also covers a range of daily spending. Customers get a 5 percent discount — up to 10,000 won ($7) per month — at major offline retailers such as E-mart, Traders Wholesale Club, Lotte Mart and Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, as well as at gas stations.
Medical and pharmacy spending, including visits to clinics, hospitals, pharmacies and veterinary clinics, earns a 10 percent discount of up to 10,000 won ($7) per month.
Purchases at major coffee shops and convenience stores receive a 10 percent discount capped at 5,000 won ($3.60) per month, while online food delivery and digital content spending qualifies for a 20 percent discount, also capped at 5,000 won per month.
Overseas transactions earn a 1.5 percent discount with no minimum spending requirement or monthly cap.
The discounts apply when the previous month's spending reaches at least 400,000 won ($290). The annual fee is 15,000 won ($11) for the Visa version. Full details are available on the Samsung Card website and the Monimo app.
