The Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority, currently on a European investment promotion tour, said Monday it signed a business cooperation agreement with Pomerania Development Agency, a Polish investment attraction body.
Pomerania Development Agency is a regional investment promotion organization established to attract foreign direct investment and support sustainable economic growth in the northern Polish voivodeship region.
Operating under the InvestInPomerania initiative, the agency works with local governments, universities and business support organizations, focusing on high-growth industries including advanced technology, ICT, e-mobility and renewable energy. Its responsibilities include site selection support, coordination with public institutions and post-investment management services.
The agreement covers four areas: sharing information through investment briefings and site visits; recommending prospective investors and providing legal and administrative support; strengthening cooperation in chemicals, steel processing, new materials, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, e-mobility, renewable energy and defense industries; and jointly supporting trade and investment exchanges involving tenant companies and customers.
"Through this agreement with Pomerania Development Agency, we will actively work to identify foreign companies interested in investing in the zone," said Gu Chung-gon, commissioner of the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority.
