Agency recognized for building digital-based debt counseling system

The Credit Recovery Committee announced Thursday that it received a Prime Minister's commendation at the "2026 AI Government Implementation Merit" awards, organized by the Ministry of Interior and Safety.
The ceremony was held Wednesday at a public AI expo accompanying the "2026 E-Government Day" celebration, as part of the first-half 2026 Chief Information Officer Council meeting.
The commendation recognized the committee's efforts to overhaul its debt counseling system along digital lines, in line with the government's AI and digital platform government policy, improving both public convenience and the accuracy of eligibility assessments.
The committee built a system using shared administrative data and public MyData services to quickly verify applicants' income, assets and dependent family information. The system reduces the burden on customers to submit paper documents while enabling more objective and precise assessments of repayment capacity.
Drawing on 46 categories of administrative data and 17 categories of public MyData, the committee also provides comprehensive checks on information relevant to financial, employment and welfare support, delivering tailored multi-service packages suited to each individual's circumstances.
