Four-week event ran from June 8
Samsung store foot traffic up more than 75%
Customers who buy during the event have until Sept. 5 to arrange installation for a 20% rebate
Samsung Electronics' four-week "Together with the People, Samsung Electronics Thanksgiving Festival," which launched June 8, closes Sunday.
The event was designed to give back to customers in appreciation of their support, with a focus on shared growth — channeling consumer benefits toward higher sales for local small businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Foot traffic at Samsung stores nationwide rose more than 75 percent on average compared with the period before the event, with some stores seeing visitor numbers more than double. Samsung Electronics expects last-minute buying demand to continue this weekend as the festival draws to a close.
Online, customers have been posting positive reviews about a range of benefits, including a 20 percent rebate in digital Onuri gift vouchers and card company discounts.
One customer who purchased four air conditioners, an oven, a dishwasher and a large TV said the combination of promotional discounts and card offers allowed them to buy at a satisfying price. "With the Onuri voucher rebate on top of that, it was a great buying opportunity," the customer said.
Customers who bought Samsung Electronics products during the event are eligible for a 20 percent rebate in digital Onuri gift vouchers. To accommodate delays in delivery or installation, Samsung Electronics is giving customers a two-month window after the event closes to apply for the rebate.
Customers who purchased products during the event can apply for the rebate on Samsung.com through Sept. 30, provided they receive and have their products installed by Sept. 5.
Ahead of the festival's close, Samsung Electronics said it plans to continue running purchase support programs through both online and offline channels so more consumers can take advantage of the remaining benefits.
