Woomi Construction earns 'excellent' rating in ministry evaluation for 7th consecutive year

Woomi Construction announced Thursday that it received a score of 95 or above in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 2026 mutual cooperation evaluation for construction companies, earning the top "excellent" rating for the seventh consecutive year.

The mutual cooperation evaluation is a system operated under Article 48 of the Framework Act on the Construction Industry. It strengthens cooperative relationships among construction companies and promotes balanced development of the construction sector and efficient project execution.

As a top-rated company, Woomi Construction will receive benefits including bonus points in the Public Procurement Service's pre-qualification screening for public tenders, a 6 percent addition to its construction capacity assessment, and a reduction of penalty points under the Framework Act on the Construction Industry.

To foster shared growth with subcontractors, the company provides education and capacity-building support, financial assistance and early cash payments, and safety equipment support.

"Co-prosperity with subcontractors is the foundation for building good homes," a Woomi Construction official said. "We will consistently work to strengthen collaboration with our subcontractors as partners who complete the same projects together."

Meanwhile, Woomi Construction posted consolidated revenue of 1.81 trillion won ($1.16 billion) last year, with operating profit reaching 249 billion won.
