Ok Taecyeon is set to join "Agent Kim Reactivated," the SBS Friday-Saturday drama series that has been riding high in the ratings.
The series premiered June 26 and follows the world's most ordinary father as he fights to reclaim his only daughter in a revenge action drama. It recorded a peak viewership rating of 18.1 percent after just two episodes, signaling an unusually strong start.
According to the production team July 2, Ok will appear as Park Gwang-yeong, a character who will share high-stakes action sequences with the lead, Agent Kim, played by So Ji-sub. Park's sharp movements and powerful energy are expected to be a highlight of upcoming episodes, with the intense bromance he builds with Agent Kim drawing particular attention.
Ok said he was thrilled at the prospect of acting alongside So. "I was so excited about the chance to perform with sunbae So Ji-sub," he said. "That's why I decided to take the role without a second thought."
He added that the shoot was a warm experience from start to finish. "I remember filming in a very warm atmosphere. Everyone on set was so considerate and welcoming that I had a wonderful time," he said. "I'm so glad I got to be part of 'Agent Kim Reactivated.' I hope viewers enjoy all the diverse charms the show has to offer."
Episode 3 of "Agent Kim Reactivated" airs Friday, July 3, at 9:50 p.m.
