Award ceremony for 'Large-SME Co-prosperity Investment Platform Contest'
Winners to receive project funding and connections to large firms upon relocating to Ulsan
The Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority held the award ceremony for the "2026 Ulsan Free Economic Zone (UFEZ) Large-SME Co-prosperity Investment Platform Contest" on Wednesday, reaffirming its commitment to continued support for companies relocating to Ulsan.
The 10 promising companies that received the Ulsan Mayor's Award at the ceremony will each receive 8 million won ($5,150) in project funding, plus up to 10 million won upon relocating to Ulsan. They will also gain opportunities for business cooperation with major local conglomerates and access to investor networks.
The winning companies are Geogrid Co. (Chuncheon, Gangwon Province; hydrogen and low-carbon energy), Cleneair Co. (Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province; same sector), Allsu Co. (Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province; same sector), Prodeul Studio Co. (Incheon; same sector), JL Energy Co. (same sector), LK Tech Co. (Busan; same sector), CEEDERS (Seoul; same sector), Bioroom Co. (Jeonju, North Jeolla Province; future chemical and advanced materials), H&W Co. (Suwon, Gyeonggi Province; same sector) and Weallice Co. (Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province; same sector).
Lee Gyeong-sik, head of the Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority, said the agency would "actively support mutual cooperation and shared growth between large and small companies, so that firms with outstanding technology and talent can grow in Ulsan."
