Ulju-gun in Ulsan is accepting applications for its 2026 "Travel and Stay a Month in Ulju" program from July 13 to July 24, aiming to boost long-stay tourism and invigorate the local economy.
The program is open to residents outside Ulsan who are 19 or older as of the application announcement date. About 10 teams will be selected, with a maximum of two people per team.
Selected participants will stay in Ulju-gun for a minimum of four nights and a maximum of 29 nights between Aug. 6 and Nov. 22, freely exploring the area's natural scenery — including the Yeongnam Alps — as well as its historical, cultural and artistic attractions and local festivals. They will also be required to complete promotional tasks, including posting on personal social media accounts, writing travel reviews and recommended itineraries, and producing a tourism promotional video for Ulju.
Ulju-gun will provide each team with up to 70,000 won ($45) per night toward accommodation, up to 10,000 won per person per day for activity and admission fees, and up to 20,000 won per person for travel insurance. For more details, visit the general announcements board on the county office website or contact the Ulju-gun Tourism Division at 204-0332.
