Ulsan City Council forms standing committees for 9th Assembly's first half

The Ulsan City Council held the second plenary session of the 265th extraordinary session on Wednesday, appointing members to the standing committees for the first half of the 9th Assembly.

The 9th Assembly's first-half leadership is headed by Speaker Lee Yeong-hae, First Deputy Speaker Hong Seong-u and Second Deputy Speaker Son Geun-ho. Kong Jin-hyeok chairs the Assembly Operations Committee, Lee Jang-geol the Administrative Affairs Committee, Kwon Tae-ho the Culture, Welfare and Environment Committee, Baek Hyeon-jo the Industry and Construction Committee, and Kang Hye-sun the Education Committee.

The Administrative Affairs Committee (five members) comprises Chair Lee Jang-geol, Vice Chair Kim Dae-yeong, and members Kim Gi-hwan, Jeon Yeong-hui and Kong Jin-hyeok. The Culture, Welfare and Environment Committee (five members) consists of Chair Kwon Tae-ho, Vice Chair Kwon Yeong-ae, and members Lee Seong-ryong, Lee Eun-ju and Heo Hui-jeong. The Industry and Construction Committee (five members) is made up of Chair Baek Hyeon-jo, Vice Chair Kim Nam-i, and members Park Yong-geol, No Myeong-hwan and Lee Ju-eon. The Education Committee (six members) includes Chair Kang Hye-sun, Vice Chair Jo Seong-cheol, and members Son Geun-ho, Hong Seong-u, An Dae-ryong and Jeong Na-yun.

The Assembly Operations Committee draws its members ex officio from the vice chairs of each standing committee. Kong Jin-hyeok chairs the committee, with Kim Dae-yeong (Administrative Affairs Committee), Kwon Yeong-ae (Culture, Welfare and Environment Committee), Kim Nam-i (Industry and Construction Committee) and Jo Seong-cheol (Education Committee) serving as members.
