Ulsan Library to offer 2026 summer vacation special lectures

Ulsan Library will run its "2026 Summer Vacation Special Lectures" from July 25 to Aug. 25, offering children and adults a range of reading and creative hands-on programs during the school break.

Built around the theme "A world of stories — read, move and make," the lineup brings together eight courses blending reading, play, art and experiential learning.

Programs for young children include a picture-book reading and board game session and a traditional folk-play class evoking parents' childhood memories. Children's offerings cover a cultural heritage exploration course on local history and sites such as Nammokmaseong Fortress and Daewangam in Ulsan, a nature travel reading-and-bingo activity, a famous-painting appreciation class, and a time-travel program centered on the Bangucheon petroglyphs.

Teenagers can join a handmade bookbinding and transcription notebook workshop, while adults are invited to a program titled "Between Water and Fire, You and I." All courses are free, and registration opens Tuesday at 10 a.m. on the Ulsan Library website.
