Woman found dead in parked car in Gimpo; suspect dies after jumping from building

A woman's body was found inside a parked vehicle in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, on Tuesday.

Police are investigating after the male suspect in the killing apparently died by suicide, jumping from a building in Paju.

Officers responding to a suspicious report of a possible homicide at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday found the body of a woman in her 50s inside a vehicle parked on a road in Gimpo.

Based on the report and other information, police identified a man in his 60s, referred to only as A, as the suspect and dispatched officers to his residence, an apartment in Paju — but A was already dead, having jumped from the building.

Police are investigating the relationship between A and the victim, identified as B, as well as the full circumstances of the incident.
