Binance, the global virtual asset exchange, said Tuesday its registered users have surpassed 322.5 million in the nine years since its founding. With the global digital asset user base estimated at about 700 million, roughly one in two digital asset users worldwide now uses Binance.
The exchange has steadily broadened its services beyond retail users to include institutional investors, professional traders and developers. For institutional customers, it offers digital asset custody, over-the-counter trading and dedicated account management. Binance says it is evolving from a retail-focused virtual asset exchange into a comprehensive digital asset platform serving institutions and professional investors as well.
The company also operates infrastructure to support developers. Through its developer center, Binance provides tools including application programming interfaces, software development kits and WebSocket streams.
Binance has also expanded its regional user communities, now running locally language-based communities in more than 40 countries across English-speaking markets, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Africa. It collects user feedback through about 100 omni-channel touchpoints, including more than 60 official topic-based Telegram groups.
In addition, the platform offers educational content on digital assets. Binance Academy supports blockchain and digital asset content in more than 30 languages, while market trends and industry updates are shared through its official blog, newsletter and social media channels.
"The digital asset industry has entered a stage where competitive strength hinges not just on facilitating transactions, but on building a healthy ecosystem," a Binance official said. "The milestone of 322.5 million users is the result of trust and engagement built together with individual users, institutional investors, developers and our global community." The official added that Binance would "continue to create new possibilities in digital finance together with our users, guided by our philosophy of 'Built by You.'"
Meanwhile, Binance recently shared guidelines for the safe use of AI in digital asset management, tailored to the emerging era of AI agents. The company advised users to restrict agent access permissions and apply a "least privilege" principle to minimize potential losses from hacking.
