Ashley Queens revamps NC Songpa store with steak, beef sushi and expanded menu

Eland Eats said its buffet brand Ashley Queens will reopen its NC Songpa store as the "Grand NC Songpa" location on Thursday.

The renovated store expands the floor area from about 660 square meters to roughly 1,120 square meters — a 70 percent increase. The larger space has been fitted with the brand's largest salad bar to date.

The menu lineup has grown by up to 30 percent compared with the minimum offering at a standard Ashley Queens store, spanning a live grill, open sandwiches, wine pairings, hansik (Korean cuisine), sushi, a bakery and desserts. New additions include grilled dishes, beef bulgogi sushi, an acai and yogurt bowl, and Percheno Gelato.

The standout addition is the live grill corner, which serves shrimp and garnishes. On weekday dinners and weekends and public holidays, the station will also offer tenderloin cube steak — bringing a cut previously available only as an add-on into the main salad bar. Grill offerings will be adjusted based on customer response and the season.

A new open-sandwich corner lets diners build their own creations using two types of artisan bread and a range of toppings. The store has also gathered in one spot a selection of wine-friendly bites — biscuits, cheese, olives and nuts.

The sushi corner will serve beef bulgogi sushi on weekday dinners and weekends and public holidays. Ashley Queens is also introducing an acai and yogurt bowl corner for the first time across the brand. For ice cream, the store will feature Percheno Gelato, a brand known for its roots in Florence, Italy.
