A foreign company in the advanced materials sector toured sites within the Gwangyang Bay Free Economic Zone on Tuesday, visiting the Hwanggeum and Sepung industrial complexes and land behind Gwangyang Port, and held investment consultations with zone officials.
The Gwangyang Bay Free Economic Zone Authority, headed by Gu Chung-gon, said the prospective investor — identified only as Company A — produces advanced materials for the aerospace and semiconductor industries and expressed interest in the zone's investment environment, prompting the visit.
"We will provide tailored administrative support so that global advanced-materials companies can translate their interest into actual investment," an authority official said.
