Lotte Mart's Toys"R"Us announced Wednesday it will hold a large-scale toy event, "Toys"R"Us Play Day," to coincide with the summer vacation season.
The event runs Thursday through Aug. 12. More than 1,400 products are on offer, including popular toys, gaming consoles and Lego sets. The featured product, the "Pokemon Transform Brave Damcheongho Special Edition," is priced at 39,900 won ($27). A "Catch! Teenieping Pongdangping Bath Set," available exclusively at Lotte Mart's Toys"R"Us, is priced at 34,900 won.
The Nintendo Switch 2 will be available for 648,000 won. Customers who buy the console along with a dedicated portable case will receive a 10,000 won discount. The "Lego Spider-Man vs. Mysterio" set is priced at 127,900 won, while "Lego Spider-Man vs. Sandman" is 29,500 won. The "Hello Carbot Pron Police Car All-Star" will be sold at a 30 percent discount, and other popular toys — including the "Hello Carbot CarbotX" and the "Young Toys Cinnamoroll Mart Play Cash Register" — will be discounted by 20 percent.
Toys"R"Us toy sales at Lotte Mart rose 8.8 percent year-on-year during the July–August summer vacation period last year. "We will showcase a wide range of popular toys and hands-on content that reflects seasonal demand, enhancing the shopping experience for family customers," a Lotte Mart official said.
