Hankook Tire sweeps Grampian Forest Rally podium with Dynapro tires

Hankook Tire & Technology announced Thursday that its SUV tire brand Dynapro swept the top three overall positions at the 2026 Grampian Forest Rally, held Friday and Saturday in Scotland, United Kingdom.

The event was staged in the region set to host the Scotland Rally, which is scheduled to join the FIA World Rally Championship as a new round in the 2027 season.

The 2027 WRC Scotland Rally is planned for the Aberdeenshire and Moray areas of the United Kingdom — the first WRC event on British soil in roughly eight years since the 2019 Wales Rally. Gravel stages will run through forested areas in northeastern Scotland.

The forest stages across Aberdeenshire and Kincardineshire feature rough gravel and undulating surfaces that demand exceptional grip and durability. Drivers equipped with the Dynapro R213, an extreme all-weather rally tire, delivered consistent performance on the challenging terrain to claim all three podium positions. The Dynapro R213 can be run strategically in either hard or soft EMC configurations to suit changing road conditions and weather.

John Armstrong of M-Sport Ford World Rally Team took the overall victory, setting the fastest time on seven of the 10 stages to claim his first-ever gravel rally win. Teammate Romet Jürgenson finished second, giving the squad a 1-2 result.

Nikolay Gryazin of Lancia Corse HF finished third, while Johan Rossel placed fifth. Four of the top five finishers were running Hankook Tire.
