Seongnam city will close Sunae Bridge to all traffic in both directions for three nights — Aug. 25 through Aug. 27 — between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night, the city announced.
The nighttime closures are necessary to install upper structural girders on the Bundang-bound span as part of the bridge's full reconstruction project. To minimize disruption, the city will keep the bridge open during daytime hours, restricting vehicle access only between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. on each of the three nights.
Drivers using Sunae Bridge during the restricted hours will need to detour via nearby Seohyeon Bridge or Baekhyeon Bridge.
Seongnam city has installed informational banners at 40 major intersections across the city so drivers can learn of the closure schedule in advance. In addition, the city plans to broadcast updates through variable message signs and traffic radio.
The city will also link real-time closure information to widely used mobile navigation apps — including Tmap and Kakao Map — so drivers can receive seamless guidance to nearby detour routes.
