Korea East-West Power launches joint labor-management ethics compliance framework

Korea East-West Power held a ceremony Tuesday at its main conference room to jointly declare the adoption of its integrity and ethics compliance framework, known as K-CP, with President Kwon Myung-ho, union chairman Lee Gap-hee and newly appointed labor director Lee Seung-nam in attendance. The company pledged to build a trustworthy, corruption-free corporate culture.

Through a joint declaration, labor and management committed to five goals: establishing a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption and unethical conduct; actively participating in and providing resources for voluntary corruption-risk self-assessments; encouraging the reporting of misconduct and complying with whistleblower protection rules; sharing a common commitment to anti-corruption; and maintaining ongoing communication and cooperation between labor and management.

Alongside this, the company said it would identify and review corruption risk factors embedded in work processes across all departments and build a risk management system tailored to each identified risk factor, as part of its broader effort to foster a culture of integrity.
