Keimyung College, Daegu Health High School sign MOU to develop regional talent

Keimyung College signed an MOU with Daegu Health High School on Wednesday to build governance for the Anchor project — a regional talent development initiative — and to strengthen cooperation in cultivating locally rooted professionals. The signing ceremony was held in the second-floor conference room of Dongsan Hall, the main building on campus.

The ceremony was attended by Keimyung College President Park Seung-ho, Daegu Health High School Principal Woo Seong-hui, Vice Principal Lee Jin, and officials from both institutions.

Under the agreement, the two institutions will cooperate across several areas: building mutual understanding and a collaborative framework for the Anchor project and regional talent development, jointly developing demand-driven curricula that reflect industry needs, and sharing Keimyung College's educational resources with businesses, institutions and the broader community.

The two sides plan to strengthen the educational link between high school and university and incorporate the job competencies required by local industries into their curricula, helping students map out career paths and improve their employability. The goal is to establish a virtuous cycle in which students learn, find employment and settle in the region.

"Through close cooperation with Daegu Health High School, we will actively support students' career development and employment, and build an exemplary model of collaboration for the Anchor project that leads to the advancement of local industries and regional settlement," President Park said.

Principal Woo said she expects the agreement to give students access to the university's high-quality educational resources and diverse programs, helping them further define their career paths and professional competencies.
