Actor Kim Soo-hyun is making his return, with an awards ceremony as his first stop.
The organizing committee of the 2026 The Fact Music Awards announced Friday that Kim will attend the ceremony as a presenter on Sept. 19 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
Kim had been out of the public eye for roughly a year and four to five months after a series of rumors and controversies surrounding his private life emerged in March last year. He was dropped from scheduled projects and advertising campaigns and spent an extended period entangled in legal disputes and damages lawsuits. A police investigation found insufficient evidence to support allegations of dating a minor and violations of the Child Welfare Act, and he was cleared with a no-charges decision.
Kim has recently begun resuming activities, appearing on an Indonesian broadcast program and shooting advertisements for overseas brands. The 2026 The Fact Music Awards will mark his first in-person reunion with domestic fans after the long hiatus.
The 2026 The Fact Music Awards returns to South Korea, the home of K-pop, for the first time in three years, with 17 top-tier acts set to perform — including ATEEZ, Lim Young-woong, ILLIT, NMIXX and TREASURE.
