Prosecutors have sought a five-year prison sentence for former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who stands trial on allegations that he failed to appoint or nominate Constitutional Court justices.
The special insurrection prosecution team asked the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Division 33, presided over by Judge Lee Jin-gwan, to impose the five-year term at Friday's closing arguments hearing in Han's case on charges including dereliction of duty.
