Kumho Express will extend its existing Gwangju–Wonju route to Hongcheon in Gangwon Province starting Tuesday.
The service will operate once daily using a premium-class vehicle, departing Gwangju at 8:35 a.m. and Hongcheon at 4:10 p.m. The journey takes approximately four hours and 50 minutes.
The one-way fare between Gwangju and Hongcheon is 51,200 won ($37). The existing Wonju service, currently running four times a day, will gain one additional premium bus run, bringing its daily total to five. The expansion is expected to improve access to the Gangwon region by allowing passengers to travel from Gwangju to Hongcheon without a transfer.
