A weekend education program where participants can learn and experience advanced robot technology firsthand
Suncheon city said it will run a second-half weekend education program from September through December, covering advanced technologies including robotics and AI.
The program will be held every Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Suncheon Robot Education Science Center, located near Suncheonman Job World, a career experience facility for children and teenagers. Enrollment is limited to 10 to 20 participants per session on a first-come, first-served basis.
The curriculum is designed to help participants understand how robots work and grasp AI technology through hands-on observation and practice, with problem-solving skills developed through engaging robot activities.
The city said the program particularly focuses on physical AI and humanoid robots — key areas in the development of the robotics industry — so that residents can explore these topics in an accessible and approachable way.
Online registration opens Tuesday at 10 a.m. Strong interest from students and parents means spots could fill up quickly.
