Samsung Electronics is participating in Design Miami Seoul 2026, a global design event running Tuesday through Sunday at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul.

On Thursday, Mauro Porchini, president and chief design officer of Samsung Electronics' Device eXperience Division, will present the company's human-centered design vision.

The exhibition is themed "Design is an Act of Love." Samsung Electronics collaborated with 14 Korean artists to present 14 artworks, each offering a personal reinterpretation of Samsung products. Some artists used AI to develop their ideas.

Each of the 14 artworks features a custom frame designed with distinct materials and forms. Samsung Electronics' 2026 flagship OLED TV, the SH95, employs a "float layer design" that makes the screen appear to hover above a metal plate.

While conventional TV frames have focused on minimizing the border around the screen, the SH95 uses the product's structure and materials as sculptural elements, allowing the television itself to serve as a design object within a space.

"Creativity begins with people, and AI allows us to amplify our imagination and take ideas even further," Porchini said. "Samsung will continue to explore new possibilities through diverse human-centered design approaches."
