Hosan University holds anatomy training program for health sciences students

Hosan University announced Tuesday that it had successfully completed an extracurricular anatomy training program for health sciences students, held as part of its 2026 Regional Growth Talent Development System, known as the Anchor project.

The program aimed to cultivate specialized professionals suited to local healthcare settings and to extend classroom-based anatomy education into hands-on practice grounded in actual human body structure.

The training ran for two days, Aug. 18 to 19, at the Catholic Applied Anatomy Research Institute of the Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine. A total of 20 second-year students participated — nine from the nursing department, five from physical therapy and six from radiology.

Drawing on their theoretical knowledge, participants directly observed the location and structure of major organs, the musculoskeletal system and neural tissue in the human body, deepening their professional understanding.

The program also incorporated clinical practice tailored to each department's specialty, strengthening students' ability to perform job-related tasks in real healthcare settings.

"We will continue to develop innovative professionals equipped with both integrative thinking and practical skills that the local healthcare industry needs, in line with the goals of the Regional Growth Talent Development System," said Jeong Seon-yeong, academic affairs dean at Hosan University.
