Seom Air launches 90% discount on winter tickets

Regional air mobility carrier Seom Air Co. is rolling out a membership rewards service called "Seom Air Points" alongside a winter discount promotion.

The Seom Air Points program is designed to be usable immediately upon accrual, addressing a common drawback of traditional mileage schemes. Members automatically receive 2,000 points upon registration and earn between 1,000 and 3,000 points after completing a flight, depending on the fare paid.

Throughout September, the airline is running a special event through which members can accumulate up to 10,000 points. New members who sign up this month receive an additional 3,000 points, while existing members who joined before September will have 5,000 points automatically credited to their accounts. Adding Seom Air's KakaoTalk channel as a friend earns another 5,000 points. The September bonus points — excluding the standard 2,000 sign-up points — are valid through the end of this year.

To mark the opening of the winter schedule on the Gimpo–Sacheon route, the airline is also holding an early-bird discount event. Tickets for the winter schedule running from Oct. 25 through March 27 next year are available at up to 90 percent off the regular fare.

The discount event runs through Sunday. Travelers can book winter season tickets on the Seom Air website or mobile app by entering the promotional code "OPENRUN2627" at checkout.

A Seom Air official said the airline had prepared an unprecedented promotional event to coincide with the confirmation of its winter schedule, noting that the Gimpo–Sacheon route connects the Greater Seoul area and South Gyeongsang Province within half a day's travel.
