Daegu Health College's Lifelong Education Institute ran a "New Middle-Age Image Branding Academy" for 20 middle-aged residents of Buk-gu from June 23 to Tuesday, the college announced Wednesday.
The program was part of Buk-gu Office's support project for outstanding lifelong education programs, running 10 weekly sessions on Tuesdays for a total of 20 hours.
It was designed to help middle-aged adults and active seniors preparing for new social activities and challenges better understand their strengths and personal image while developing their self-expression skills.
The curriculum covered personal color diagnosis, image-making, fashion and makeup, speech and communication, and resume writing using ChatGPT — extending beyond outward appearance to encompass communication skills and AI tools as part of a broader personal branding review.
"I hope this program gave participants a fresh opportunity to understand and express themselves," said Park Hee-ok, director of the Lifelong Education Institute and a nursing professor. "We will consistently offer lifelong education tailored to the life stages of local residents so that the confidence gained here can lead to social engagement and new challenges."
