Programs including performances and lectures run Sept. 12–19
About 1.22 million visitors served since opening
The Ulju-gun Comprehensive Child Care Support Center in Ulsan will hold a 10th anniversary celebration from Sept. 12 to 19, themed "10 Years Together, Tomorrow Together," featuring a week of programs for infants, toddlers and their families.
The center opened in September 2016 and has since accompanied families in Ulju-gun through the full arc of early childhood — from a child's first play experiences to the uncertainties of first-time parenting.
Since its opening, the center has served about 1.22 million people, establishing itself as a community hub for child care support and healthy early childhood development in the region.
Over the past decade, the center recorded 217,716 toy and book rentals, 268,740 hours of education for parents and child care staff, 136,505 program participants, and 15,098 instances of support for child care facilities — cementing its role as an everyday resource for families with young children.
To mark the milestone, the center has organized a series of anniversary events. On Sept. 12, a family performance called "Magic Media Show: Polypop" will be held at Alps Hall in the Ulju-gun Office.
At the center itself, a lineup of programs will follow in order: an infant experience session titled "Open Up, Snowflake World" on Sept. 15; a toddler experience session, "Dinosaur, Let's Play Again," on Sept. 16; a parenting lecture, "Prescription for Parenting," on Sept. 17; a photo booth event, "Life's Four Cuts, Revisited," also on Sept. 17; and "Win Hearts, Play Earth!" on Sept. 19.
Full details on eligibility, schedules and registration for each program are available on the Ulju-gun Comprehensive Child Care Support Center's official website.
