South Korea Safety Industry Expo runs through Friday at Busan's Bexco

The 2026 Korea Safety Industry Expo, co-hosted by the Busan city government and the Ministry of Interior and Safety, is being held Wednesday through Friday at Exhibition Hall 1 of Bexco in Busan.

Now in its 12th year, the expo has showcased products and technologies from promising disaster-safety companies, helped them break into overseas markets, and driven the development of South Korea's disaster-safety industry and the establishment of an advanced technology-based disaster management framework.

Held under the theme "Convergence of Advanced Technology, Future of Safety," this year's expo features 340 organizations and companies operating 920 booths. Admission is free and the venue is open to all from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Highlights include an Advanced Disaster Industry Hall offering a comprehensive look at next-generation disaster-response technologies, export consultation sessions with overseas buyers and investors, and a global business forum. The exhibition is organized into six safety-sector corporate zones, a public-sector zone and an advanced disaster-safety industry zone, with innovative products on display designed for immediate response to floods, earthquakes, fires, landslides and other disasters.

The expo also introduces products and technologies using AI-powered robots, drones and other cutting-edge tools to address the increasingly complex and rapidly changing disaster-safety environment driven by climate change and industrial advancement. The global corporate hall features 22 companies from nine countries, and procurement and export consultation sessions will be held during the expo to help domestic technologies and products find overseas markets.

Busan Mayor Jeon Jae-soo said the city will spare no support to help local safety-industry companies develop outstanding technologies and products built on advanced technology, using the expo in Busan — the maritime capital at the heart of the future transformation — as a springboard.
