NewJeans' Danielle shares relaxed update amid W33b lawsuit

Danielle, a former member of the girl group NewJeans, has shared a rare update on social media.

The singer recently posted several photos on her social media account with the caption "Journey together?"

The images show Danielle enjoying a relaxed moment. The post was her first social media update in roughly two months, since July.

The other NewJeans members had been locked in a prolonged dispute with their agency Ador over the validity of their exclusive contracts before announcing they would return to the agency following a court ruling last year. However, Ador notified Danielle in December last year that her exclusive contract had been terminated.

Ador has filed a damages lawsuit worth about 33 billion won ($24.1 million) against Danielle, her family and former Ador CEO Min Hee-jin, and the legal battle is ongoing.

Meanwhile, Ador drew attention in July when it released a special film and content marking NewJeans' fourth debut anniversary — featuring members Haerin, Hyein, Minji and Hanni, but not Danielle.
