Second lecture set for Sept. 17 at Daechi Lifelong Learning Center, featuring lead consultant Yoon Han-ul
Tailored information on course offerings by school across Gangnam-gu and strategies to respond
Gangnam Ingang, an education service operated by Gangnam-gu, will hold its "2026 Second Parent In-Person Lecture" on Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. for 90 minutes at the fifth-floor auditorium of the Daechi Lifelong Learning Center. The event targets parents of middle school students and first-year high school students.
The lecture was designed to provide parents navigating a rapidly changing college admissions landscape with accurate, practical information on their children's career paths and university prospects.
The speaker will be Yoon Han-ul, a college admissions instructor at Gangnam Ingang and head consultant at Medisky Lab. Yoon will present on the theme of "High School Credit System: Strategies for Designing a Subject-Selection Roadmap by Career Path," delivering essential admissions strategies tailored to the revised curriculum.
The session will cover career and path exploration, an analysis of the 2022 revised national curriculum framework, the characteristics of courses offered at individual schools across Gangnam-gu and strategies to respond, and how to make use of joint curriculum programs and community-linked courses. The lecture is expected to offer practical guidance for choosing the right high school and planning a course of study optimized for each student's career goals.
Earlier, Gangnam Ingang held its first lecture in June, inviting Oh Jae-seong, director of the Dawon Education College Admissions Research Institute, to speak on "A High School Selection Guide in Response to Changes in the 2028 College Admissions System." The event drew about 150 parents of elementary and middle school students and recorded a satisfaction rate of 96 percent.
The second lecture will be open to the first 160 registrants. Applications are accepted through the Gangnam Ingang website from 10 a.m. on Sept. 4 through 3 p.m. on Sept. 16. For further details, contact the Gangnam Ingang team at Gangnam-gu's education support division.
