MOU with Johnson Health Tech, No. 1 fitness equipment maker by sales
Matrix gear to debut at housing projects in Yeongju, Nonsan
Korea Asset Trust has partnered with global fitness equipment maker Johnson Health Tech Korea to strengthen fitness communities within its residential developments.
Korea Asset Trust announced Friday that it signed an MOU with Johnson Health Tech Korea at its Seoul headquarters Thursday, agreeing to build premium fitness communities in residential complexes.
Under the agreement, the two companies will supply Johnson Health Tech fitness equipment to apartment complexes and officetels developed through Korea Asset Trust's borrowing-type land trust projects. The partnership calls for installing equipment under the global premium brands Matrix and Vision, along with establishing a rapid after-sales service system.
Johnson Health Tech, which manufactures commercial and home fitness equipment, ranks first in global fitness equipment sales. Its flagship Matrix brand supplies five-star hotels worldwide, including JW Marriott and Inspire Resort.
Korea Asset Trust plans to consult with Johnson Health Tech on fitness space design from the planning and product development stage, aiming to enhance the marketability of its residential communities.
"We cannot stay competitive by passively managing projects after permits have already been secured," a Korea Asset Trust official said. "Following the introduction of the Jakshim study cafe brand, this latest MOU is part of our ongoing effort to differentiate community amenities and improve the overall appeal of our complexes."
The official added that the company would "maximize the pre-sale competitiveness of borrowing-type land trust projects to deliver greater value to customers, including developers."
A Johnson Health Tech Korea official said the partnership represented "a meaningful opportunity to extend our commercial premium equipment and operational expertise into residential communities," adding that the company would work closely to ensure residents have access to a top-tier fitness environment on par with professional facilities.
The two companies plan to introduce Matrix equipment first at housing projects in Gahung-dong, Yeongju and Naedong, Nonsan, before expanding the rollout to major development sites nationwide.
Meanwhile, Korea Asset Trust recently topped a brand reputation survey of 13 domestic real estate trust brands conducted by the Korea Corporate Reputation Institute. The survey analyzed about 6.82 million big data items related to the 13 brands from July 21 to Aug. 21.
