Coway launches slimmer Berex Triple Chair 2, cutting bulk by 9%

Coway announced Friday the launch of the Berex Triple Chair 2 Slim, a multifunctional chair that reduces bulk by 9 percent compared to its predecessor to improve space efficiency.

The new product follows the Berex Triple Chair, which combines an office chair, recliner and massage chair in one. Compared to the previous moving-type Triple Chair, the Slim cuts overall volume by 9 percent and features a hidden-wheel structure for easier mobility. Users can also adjust the seat height by up to 5 centimeters to suit their body type and posture.

Coway first introduced the Triple Chair series in January last year, then expanded the lineup in June of that year with a wheeled model featuring 360-degree rotating casters. The original model combined work, rest and massage functions in a single product.

The massage function uses a 3D module that moves up, down, left, right and front to back. The massage balls extend up to 83 millimeters, and a shoulder-detection sensor reads the user's body shape to target the neck, shoulders, back and lumbar area. Massage intensity can be adjusted across nine levels, and the chair supports 21 massage modes — more than the previous model.

"The Berex Triple Chair 2 Slim combines a slim design that maximizes space efficiency with a personalized massage function," a Coway official said. "We plan to continue introducing products that take into account users' spaces and lifestyles."
