Hana Financial wraps up Incheon job fair for middle-aged workers

Hana Financial Group has successfully concluded a job fair designed to help middle-aged workers in Incheon find new employment and connect local companies with experienced candidates.

The group held the "2026 Hana JOB Matching Festa in Incheon" at Songdo Convensia on Wednesday, it announced Thursday. The event is part of "Hana Power On Second Life," a reemployment support program for middle-aged workers, and marked the fifth such fair this year following earlier editions in Busan, Gwangju, Suwon and Daejeon.

Seven regional agencies took part, including the Incheon Regional Employment and Labor Office, the Incheon City Job Center and the Korea Labor Foundation. Twenty small but strong local companies from sectors including aviation, ports, tourism, manufacturing, logistics and social services conducted one-on-one interviews with middle-aged job seekers on site. A separate recruitment board also provided job listings from about 50 companies.

The fair offered programs to sharpen participants' competitiveness in the job market. A job experience zone let visitors try out new digital-based roles such as cognitive health manager, solo content creator and data labeler. An AI zone provided AI-assisted resume writing, mock interviews, interview coaching and career aptitude assessments.

One-on-one career consultations and resume reviews by professional consultants were also available, along with profile photo shoots and personal color analysis. Hana Bank set up a dedicated counseling space offering financial advice on post-retirement asset management, inheritance and gift planning, and voice phishing prevention.

"Through close public-private cooperation with regional agencies in Incheon, we were able to connect experienced middle-aged talent with strong local companies and practice inclusive finance for the community — something we find deeply meaningful," a Hana Financial official said. "We will continue to support middle-aged workers as they build their second chapter in life, while expanding effective job creation and reemployment support programs in partnership with local communities."

Hana Financial also runs other employment support initiatives, including an internship program that links job seekers with social innovation companies and a program that identifies and nurtures young local entrepreneurs. The final Hana JOB Matching Festa of the year is scheduled for Nov. 23 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul.

Meanwhile, Hana Bank is also expanding its inclusive finance efforts to help financially vulnerable groups get back on their feet. The bank recently wrote off 134.3 billion won ($97 million) in long-term delinquent debt — loans held as special bonds for more than five years — relieving the burden of 5,738 borrowers, including young and elderly customers. In June, it also wrote off 221.8 billion won in long-term delinquent debt.
