Product offers tailored preferential rates based on customer transaction profiles
Base rate of 2.90% per annum, with top rate reaching 4.20%
BNK Busan Bank said Monday it is launching the "Only One Main Transaction Preferential Deposit," a savings product that offers tiered preferential interest rates based on individual customers' financial transaction profiles. The product reflects the distinct transaction patterns of different customer groups — including salaried workers and self-employed individuals — and provides special preferential rates for employees of companies that have signed corporate agreements with the bank.
The bank aims to strengthen benefits for existing customers while expanding its reach to new ones. The product carries a base rate of 2.90 percent per annum, with customers able to earn up to an additional 1.30 percentage points in preferential rates depending on their transaction history and whether they meet qualifying conditions, bringing the maximum rate to 4.20 percent per annum.
Salaried workers can earn preferential rates based on their payroll transfer activity and contributions to individual retirement pension accounts. Self-employed customers qualify based on merchant payment deposit activity and new enrollment in the small-business mutual aid program. Additional preferential rates are also available to customers who meet common qualifying conditions — such as maintaining a group account balance, using credit or debit cards, or closing a deposit at maturity — as well as to those who have not held a BNK Busan Bank deposit or savings account in the past year.
BNK Busan Bank will also offer a special preferential rate of 0.20 percentage points per annum to employees of companies — including local businesses — that enter into corporate agreements with the bank. The product is available through BNK Busan Bank branches and its mobile banking app, with full details on the bank's website and mobile banking platform.
