Hoban Group is piloting a personalized relaxation service powered by AI technology developed by a startup.

Hoban Group announced Tuesday that it is partnering with Stress Solution, an AI-based digital healthcare company specializing in biosignal analysis, to run a proof-of-concept trial of a customized sound solution called Healing Beat at Avenue France Gwangmyeong and Splashs Risom through December.

The trial is designed to test startup technology in real commercial settings and gauge customer response and service viability. Customers can experience personalized sound during shopping, dining and leisure activities, while Stress Solution validates its technology under actual operating conditions.

Healing Beat measures and analyzes a user's biosignals, then delivers sounds matched to the results and the user's intended purpose. Users can listen to sounds tailored for stress management, concentration or sleep, and can compare pre- and post-session readings to track changes in their condition.

Splashs Risom, a resort in Yesan-gun, South Chungcheong Province operated by Hoban Hotels & Resorts, has been running a dedicated "Healing Beat Zone" since August. Avenue France Gwangmyeong, a commercial complex in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province operated by Hoban Property, installed a standalone relaxation pod called the "Healing Box" last month and has been running it on a trial basis since then.

An analysis of pre- and post-session measurement data by Stress Solution found that participants' stress index fell by an average of 38.5 percent.

Splashs Risom also held a Healing Beat experience event last month for Hoban Group employees and resort visitors. Personalized sounds were generated based on each participant's biosignals and loaded onto dedicated speakers for use in daily life.

"We aim to bring innovative technology into our business venues and offer customers a new kind of rest experience," a Hoban Group official said. "We will continue to explore diverse partnership opportunities that can put startup technology to use."
