Damyang-gun will host the 3rd National Bamboo Calligraphy Competition at the Korea Bamboo Museum on Saturday, bringing together calligraphers from across the country.
Sponsored by Damyang-gun and organized by the Damyang chapter of the Korea Calligraphy Association, the competition celebrates traditional calligraphy through the theme of bamboo while highlighting the cultural heritage of the region.
Alongside this, the museum is presenting a collection exhibition titled "Weaving and Drawing," with works displayed both inside the gallery and along the bamboo grove trail, allowing visitors to take in art while strolling through the autumn bamboo forest.
A performance called "Autumn Sounds of the Bamboo Grove," featuring local youth arts groups, will also be held to share the mood of the season with visitors.
