Busan Port Authority launches integrity newsletter for employees

The Busan Port Authority has been producing and distributing an in-house integrity newsletter since April to strengthen employees' awareness of ethical conduct and foster a sound organizational culture, the state-run port operator announced Sunday.

The newsletter, titled "Topaboneun Integrity Newsletter," takes its name from a pure Korean word meaning "to examine thoroughly, leaving nothing unturned." It is designed to help employees better understand and apply anti-corruption rules and precautions through case-based content and guidance on key compliance regimes.

The April issue covered behavioral guidelines and notable cases related to gapjil prevention and building a culture of mutual respect in the workplace. The May issue focused on public officials' duty of political neutrality, along with examples of Public Official Election Act violations and related precautions.

An official from the authority's audit office said the newsletter would continue to develop a wide range of integrity content that employees can easily relate to and put into practice in their daily work. "We will use the newsletter as an opportunity to encourage all employees to actively contribute to spreading a culture of integrity," the official said.
