Keimyung Culture University expands RISE governance, shares project outcomes with local industry

Keimyung Culture University held a "RISE Project Outcomes Sharing Session and AID (AI+Digital) Transformation-Focused Junior College Support Project Briefing" on June 2 at Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu, drawing representatives from more than 80 member companies of the With Convergence Association, an affiliate of the Korea SME Convergence Daegu-North Gyeongsang Federation.

The event was organized to expand governance ties with local industry, share first-year outcomes of the Regional Innovation-centered University Support System (RISE) project, introduce second-year programs, and establish a framework for developing and operating joint programs through an industry-academia cooperation network.

The gathering also featured a presentation on the university's AI and digital transformation strategy and support framework, following Keimyung Culture University's selection as the sole Daegu-North Gyeongsang Province recipient of the Ministry of Education's AID (AI+Digital) Transformation-Focused Junior College Support Project.

University officials attending included Kim Jae-hyeon, director of the RISE Project Group; Kim Yu-seok, deputy director; Moon Jeong-nam, team leader; and Kim Myeong-gyun, head of the AI·DX Center. Moon Jeong-suk, chair of the With Convergence Association, representatives of more than 80 member companies, and officials from the Daegu Regional Office of Public Procurement also took part.

The program opened with welcoming remarks and a RISE project overview by Kim Jae-hyeon, followed by a presentation on the university's RISE project outcomes and direction by deputy director Kim Yu-seok.

"We will continue to expand industry-academia cooperation so that, building on the RISE project and our AI·DX innovation framework, we can develop the talent companies need and make a tangible contribution to strengthening the competitiveness of the regional economy," Kim Jae-hyeon said.
