One of 29 fewoff models produced — top prize in product design category
Marks 20th anniversary of Centro Stile with new design language
V12 engine paired with three electric motors for combined 1,080 hp
Automobili Lamborghini's limited-production model, the Fenomeno, has taken the top prize at the Red Dot Award, one of the world's most prestigious design competitions.
Lamborghini announced Tuesday that the Fenomeno had won the Best of the Best in the product design category at the Red Dot Award 2026. The vehicle is a fewoff model — a small-batch limited edition — of which only 29 units were built, embodying the "hyper elegant" design direction the Italian automaker has set for the brand.
The Red Dot Award evaluates entries from around the world across three categories — product design, brand and communication design, and design concept — judging them on innovation and execution. The Best of the Best is reserved for works that earn the highest marks for quality, creativity and vision. This year's ceremony will be held July 7 at the Aalto Theatre in Essen, Germany.
The Fenomeno also serves as a commemorative model marking the 20th anniversary of Centro Stile, Lamborghini's in-house design organization. Through the vehicle, Lamborghini focused on reinterpreting the traditional supercar aesthetic in a more restrained form while preserving a strong performance identity.
Mitja Borkert, design director at Automobili Lamborghini, said the award again confirmed the direction of the design DNA his team is building with Centro Stile, and called it an important achievement in support of the company's future strategy.
"The Fenomeno is a style manifesto that extends our design language in unexpected ways," he added. "It sportily and elegantly carries on the lineage of our most successful limited-production models while surpassing expectations. It is a project that looks to the future while powerfully reinforcing Lamborghini's design heritage."
The front of the vehicle features large racing-style air intakes and a newly designed daytime running light signature. Design elements inspired by the horns of the bull in the Lamborghini emblem are also incorporated. A Y-shaped graphic, a carbon fiber front splitter and sharply sculpted headlamps work together to emphasize the brand's distinctive visual identity.
The side profile is defined by a single character line running the length of the body. It maintains Lamborghini's signature low, sharp silhouette while evoking the longtail aesthetic of the Essenza SCV12. The launch livery color, Giallo Caeus, accentuates the volume of the upper body, while the carbon fiber elements and aerodynamic components on the lower body focus on performance.
Performance befits the brand's flagship model. The Fenomeno is powered by the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine in Lamborghini history, paired with three electric motors for a combined system output of 1,080 horsepower.
The vehicle accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.4 seconds and reaches 200 kph in 6.7 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350 kph. At 1.64 kilograms per horsepower, its power-to-weight ratio ranks among the highest performance figures of any Lamborghini limited production model.
