Song Hye-kyo parts ways with UAA after 14 years, set to launch solo agency

Actor Song Hye-kyo is leaving UAA, the agency she has been with for 14 years.

UAA said Friday that her exclusive contract with the agency had recently expired. "UAA and Song Hye-kyo, who have trusted and worked alongside each other for a long time, have decided to conclude their journey together and cheer each other on toward their respective futures," the agency said.

UAA added that Song had "received wide love not only in South Korea but across Asia and around the world" during her time with the agency. "The time we shared with her will remain a happy and joyful memory," it said.

The agency also asked fans to continue showing Song their warm support and encouragement going forward.

Song is expected to establish a one-person agency following her departure from UAA.
