Mercedes-Benz opens combined showroom and service center in Gumi

Mercedes-Benz Korea has opened a new showroom and service center in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, expanding its customer reach in the region. The combined facility serves as a one-stop hub — covering vehicle purchase consultations, routine maintenance and collision repairs — as part of the brand's strategy to strengthen its service network across North Gyeongsang Province.

Mercedes-Benz Korea announced Monday that it had officially opened the Mercedes-Benz Gumi Showroom and Service Center on Yaeun-ro in Gumi. Authorized partner DM Mobility will operate the facility.

The Gumi showroom began as a temporary operation last year before being relocated and expanded. A newly added service center completes the site, making it a full-service complex with both sales and maintenance capabilities.

The location was chosen with accessibility in mind. The new facility sits near Gumi Station and the Gumi Intercity Bus Terminal and is also close to the Gyeongbu Expressway, making it convenient for customers from across North Gyeongsang Province — not just Gumi — to visit for vehicle consultations and maintenance.

The facility has a total floor area of 3,839.88 square meters and occupies a standalone building spanning one below-ground floor and four above-ground floors. The first floor houses a service reception area, a customer lounge and a vehicle delivery space, while the second floor contains a sales reception area and the showroom.

Maintenance operations are on the third and fourth floors, with nine general repair bays and three collision repair bays providing scheduled inspections, general repairs and collision restoration services. The center is the only authorized service facility among imported car brands in Gumi to offer both general maintenance and collision repair under one roof.

The interior features Mercedes-Benz's latest design concept, MAR20X, combining a black-toned showroom with digital signage walls and other digital installations to enhance the brand experience. A Mercedes-Benz Accessories & Collection Shop on the first floor allows service customers to browse brand products during their visit.

The opening also expands DM Mobility's network in the Yeongnam region. The company already operates authorized showrooms and service centers in Changwon, Masan and Jinju in South Gyeongsang Province, and now extends its footprint into Gumi in North Gyeongsang Province.

After-sales service has become an increasingly important competitive front in the imported car industry. As vehicle prices rise and ownership periods lengthen, demand for maintenance is growing, and major brands are expanding regional service locations and running seasonal inspection campaigns to deepen customer engagement.

Mercedes-Benz Korea currently operates 65 authorized showrooms, 74 authorized service centers and 24 certified pre-owned vehicle showrooms nationwide. The company said the new Gumi facility is intended to improve purchase and maintenance convenience for customers across North Gyeongsang Province.
