The Damyang-gun Cultural Foundation, led by Chairman Park Jong-won, is accepting applications through Aug. 10 for its "2026 Cultural Planning Consultancy," a program designed to help residents independently plan and run their own cultural projects.
The foundation's cultural policy team developed the consultancy based on findings from a survey on cultural civic capacity conducted in February, which gathered responses from more than 70 participants.
More than 60 percent of respondents cited difficulty accessing grant programs and writing project proposals, and called for hands-on consulting support. Many also said participants needed a process that goes beyond basic education and allows them to develop their ideas into concrete plans.
In response, the foundation plans to run a five-month, one-on-one tailored consultancy starting in August, covering the development of cultural planning ideas, how to write project proposals, and how to apply for grant programs.
