Samsung Electronics Service dispatched a special flood-recovery team to Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, on Wednesday to assist residents affected by heavy rainfall.
The team has set up a mobile service center near the Dunduk-myeon community office, offering free cleaning and inspection of flood-damaged home appliances including air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines.
Residents who visit the special team's service center to register a request will receive an in-home visit from an engineer for a full appliance inspection.
In areas with concentrated flood damage, service engineers are going door to door to check appliance conditions and carry out repairs.
A bus equipped with mobile phone diagnostic tools has also been deployed to clean, dry and inspect water-damaged handsets.
Samsung Electronics Service said it is monitoring flood damage across affected regions and reviewing whether to send additional recovery teams.
Meanwhile, customers who contact the company's call center to request a flood-damage appliance inspection will also receive an engineer home visit and the same range of services, regardless of whether a special team has been deployed to their area.
